Green Beans with New Potatoes
1 2/3 cup water
4 ounces Fatback
2 Tbs Bacon grease
1/4 tsp brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 (28 oz) can Green Beans
6-8 small red new potatoes
Wash potatoes ( no need to peel)
In a medium stockpot, combine water, fatback, bacon grease, brown sugar and salt and pepper
Bring to a boil
Drain green beans and add to pot
Add potatoes
Bring to a boil and simmer slowly for 20-25 minutes or until potatoes are cooked
