COCONUT POUND CAKE

1 cup shortening
1 stick margarine
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
dash of salt
1 cup milk
2 tsp lemon flavoring
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
1 can flaked coconut

Cream shortening, margarine and sugar
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after
each addition
Sift flour and salt together
Add flour mixture and milk to creamed mixture alternately, beginning and ending with flour mixture
Add lemon and vanilla flavoring
Stir in coconut: mix well
Pour into greased and floured tube cake pan
Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes
Turn oven off and leave cake in oven an additional 10minutes
