AMBROSIA

1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks
1 tbs sugar
1 large pink grapefruit, peeled, seeded and
sectioned
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 (8oz) jar Maraschino cherries, drained
3 oranges, peeled, seeded and sectioned
1/2 cup flaked coconut

Drain Pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup juice
Discard remaining juice
Combine sugar and reserved juice;stir well
Add pineapple,grapefruit,bananas,cherries and oranges
Stir
Cover and chill several hours
Before serving, sprinkle with coconut and nuts
Serves 6-8 people
